AC issue at 55K miles on my Odyssey
By Pat | on Friday, June 28, 2019
I purchased 2016 Honda Odyssey (in Aug 2016) and drove it for 2 Years 10 Months (as of June 2019). It had 55K miles on it and AC started blowing hot air. Took it to the Honda dealership and he said the AC Compressor and Dryer needs to be replaced which cost me $1500. While such repairs are usually covered under 3Year/36K miles, my Odyssey exceeded the mileage. This makes me think that Honda's reliability totally depends on luck, Not every honda gives your piece of mind and lower maintenance costs!… - 4.0
Honda Odyssey outstanding for the past 20 years
By Bob | on Sunday, December 27, 2020
We've owned 2 Honda Odysseys for the past twenty years, a 2001 and a 2011. Both served our family of six extremely well over the years from the toddler age to adult children. My tall adult children (5.9", 6.3", 6.4" & 6.6") were able to ride comfortably. One option they liked to do was sit in the 3rd row with the middle row down and stretch there legs. This worked out great for long roadtrips. It worked out well for moving kids to and from college. Great for tailgates and loading up grills, tables, bean bags, etc. I also really liked the ability to remove the seats for trips to the hardware store and/or moving large items. It stores an 4x8 piece of plywood in the back as well as a full size couch. The reliability and versatility has been amazing. It served us well and would high recommend for as a family car.… - 5.0
This vehicle has been a work horse for our family.

Super great vehicle for a larger or smaller family. There are 6 members in our family. My husband has a mobility scooter and I would be able to pack everything including the scooter, luggage, sand toys, beach chairs, cooler, towels etc in the far back without anything reaching above the rear seat back. It did not cause lack of visibility. It's just amazing. Everyone had their own AC vent and dome light to control. Our Odyssey has gone to numerous travel ball games and has plenty of room for catcher's gear bag, luggage etc too. I would suggest installing a mounted tissue box or baby wipe holder for families. I also love having the floor space up front for my purse instead of those big consoles every vehicle has now. The console causes a loss of space. I have had 2 Odysseys for the past 15 years. It's time for me to move on for 2 of the girls are on their own now, but I'm finding that the midsize SUVs don't have the space for his scooter and our luggage without blocking the view. I wish the SUVs cargo area was deep set in, something like the Odyssey's. The smaller compartment areas under the back floor boards are not good for strollers, coolers etc in those SUVs. The Odyssey is rated a 10+ for me. My niece has already bought her 1st Odyssey. :)…
